At SchneidersLaden, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting a series of engaging and insightful workshops with some excellent companies and people! From innovative drum machines to intricate modular systems, these events have given synth enthusiasts an up-close look at some fascinating machines.

We’re excited to release some of the recent workshops and recordings that were long overdue today – sorry for the delay! A few hours of in-depth insights into our favorite topic – enjoy!

Mr. @cinema.av will once again teach you about the fascinating world of video synthesis! This time we’ll be learning about the mighty Structure video synthesis module!

STRUCTURE is a visual generator module that already brings so many functions with it that it is ideal to be your first video synthesis module or you can use it as a perfect centerpiece of your bigger video synthesizer – it even has a handy screen!

Find us above REWE supermarket at Kottbusser Tor, our doorbell is located in the entrance area of REWE.

Modular Beginner Workshop exclusively for FLINTA* – Tuesday – 1st October – 6pm – SchneidersLaden, Kotti

As an addition to our regular Modular Beginner Workshops at SchneidersLaden we are offering a workshop exclusively for FLINTA* next Tuesday. Our dear colleague Jessica Kert (@jessyandthechords) will welcome you and teach you her approach to modular synthesis.

We’ll cover the basic vocabulary and principles of synthesis needed to navigate the world of modular, and of course you’ll be able to ask the questions that your own research didn’t provide the answer to.

After the Beginner Workshop you can get some drinks at the bar and connect with other synth enthusiasts.

The workshop is free of charge, and there is no registration required! Just come by and enjoy the time you spend learning a new creative form of expression!

Join us for a special evening with Shakmat Modular at the SchneidersLaden showroom in Kreuzberg! This exclusive workshop will take place at one of Berlin’s iconic synth spaces, SchneidersLaden in its former location at Kottbusser Tor – Skalitzer Straße 135a, 10999 Berlin. This is one of the last workshops in our beloved old showroom, which has been a cornerstone for modular enthusiasts and electronic music lovers in this city.

Shakmat Modular, known for their innovative and performance-oriented Eurorack modules, will take you on a journey through their world of sound design. The workshop will include an insightful performance and demonstration of their gear, highlighting unique patching techniques and musical workflows. After the presentation, we’ll transition into the informal part of the evening with drinks and personal conversations—a great chance to meet fellow enthusiasts and engage with the creators.

SchneidersLaden has long been at the heart of Berlin’s modular synthesis community, providing a hub for modular gear, workshops, and knowledge exchange. The Kottbusser Tor showroom has become a landmark for both beginners and professionals. As we bid farewell to this space, this event is an opportunity to celebrate its rich history while exploring new sonic frontiers with Shakmat.

Summer is over, let’s nerd out on gear again!

We’re excited to welcome AtoVproject and Datanoise again for their 10th Music Instrument Makers Meetup in our Kottbusser Tor showroom! Whether you’re an experienced designer, just curious about music tech, or simply want to hang out with like-minded creators! This meetup is free and open to everyone.

Come for the show-and-tell, stay for the jams and inspiration. Bring your personal project or just swing by to get ideas for something new.

In addition to a few basics that are important to know, you’ll get a thorough explanation of how patching works. Please note: The Modular Synthesizer Carousel is on tour, so it will not be available after the workshop. But: Drinks are available 🙂

Over the summer we concentrated the shop and all our demo into Musik-Bading, Karl Marx Str. 186, to let you find mostly everything and everybody easily at one place. Our Pharmacy / „Apotheke“ is still under construction to host more complex Systems and Synthesizers only (e.g. Buchla, Analogue Systems, Black Corporation, visual modulars ..). Currently it is open for you on appointment only, please ask.

Starting in October 2024 our repair, return and bugfix department will leave the more or less beloved Kottbusser Tor to become a real synthesizers pharmacy at Ganghofer Str. 1. Weekly workshops still happen at Kottbusser Tor every Thursday until we can move them into our next shop „Laden2“ next door to BADING in November? So hopefully soon we are all in Neukölln being easy and competent .. Looking forward to welcome you on board!

For those who can’t visit us during the weekdays, this is your chance to explore our wide selection of synthesizers and electronic musical instruments in person. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your sonic journey, our team will be here to help you find the gear you need.

Soooo, time for another Modular Beginner Workshop at SchneidersLaden, right? Then let’s do two! On August 1 and 8, Jessica and Miquel will show you how to find your way into the world of modular synthesizers. In addition to a few basics that are important to know, you’ll get a thorough explanation of how patching works. Afterwards, you can all have a go at the modular synthesizer carousel together. Drinks are also available.

So, don’t panic! We’ll help you with your first patch! The workshop is free, the participants are really fun and we look forward to seeing you there! We don’t accept excuses. Come along!
